Science is a fascinating world, able to impress and astonish, a kind of magic. But Science is not so far from our reality as Diagon Alley is; the laws of physics, chemistry and mathematics are driving our life and the key to disclose their mystery is the scientific Method; the only energy needed to supply the cognitive process, is our native Curiosity.
This attitude shortly expounds the reasons why I dedicated some time to outreach activities, mainly in collaboration with the colleagues of the CNR in Florence, that gave rise to an on-line initiative:
Together with the staff of ScienzaLudica, we organized in the last years some exhibits held at national and international festivals:
Additionally, I got involved in some initiatives:
- 2013 - 2015, performer at school laboratories for 5 years old students (it was an amazing challenge to explain the concept of measure to children who did not even know about calculus)
- November, 2015, Festival della Scienza di Genova, speaker at the conference "Good and Bad bacteria: a delicate equilibrium between science and art"
- November, 2015, Festival della Scienza di Genova, organizer of one laboratory and one special event about art and bacteria
- March 2016, organizer of the participation of the Institute of Biophysics to the second edition of the Biophysics Week and coordinator of the nation-wide actions connected to the Italian Society for Pure and Applied Biophysics
- March 2017, organizer of the participation of the Institute of Biophysics to the second edition of the Biophysics Week
- March 2018, coordinator of the CNR initiatives for the third edition of the Biophysics Week
